About Us
Donna Trimm is a Columbia University-trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has over a decade of clinical experience helping people navigate terminal illness, death, and grief through individual and group therapy. As a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, she utilizes writing therapy and other expressive arts therapies to help clients manage grief and identify root causes of depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. She applies a holistic, strengths-based, psychoeducational approach to help equip clients with the latest evidence-supported therapies, resulting in a deeper grasp of their own resilience and capacity. She focuses on holistic healing through integrative, whole body health care, which includes nutrition, exercise, supplements, and Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Donna also facilitates training workshops for allied professionals hoping to move away from traditional, Western approaches to mental health care which focus heavily on psychotropic pharmaceuticals.
It’s about healing
“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
~Maya Angelou
Why Holistic Mental Health
Contemporary approaches treat symptoms without doing the harder work of identifying and treating causes. We turn this model inside out and help you do the hard work of digging into what hurts, why it hurts, and what you can do to fix the issue producing the pain.
Research-backed Therapy
As a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, I utilize multiple forms of expressive arts therapy, specializing in writing therapy.
